Almost all (maybe all but I cannot say that with 100% certainty) of the people that I have met that leave out the "to be" verb are from the ohio river valley. Louisville area and southern ohio seem to be the region where it is the most prevalent. 10/22/2013 6:40:57 AM

I am of the opinion that if enough people are using the same "bad" grammar, it is not really bad, it is just the grammer of that subset of people.
