It was a stage 2C...so not the worst, but kinda scary all the same.

Turns out you can do a lot of damage to your skin in your childhood years. All those years of fishing, scuba diving and convertible driving caught up with me

I couldn't image what someone must go through when they first get their diagnosis and then having to suffer through treatment. Props to you, man.

I appreciate the props, but I didn't really have to do any treatment. The lymphoscintigraphy came back negative, so the doc was all like "well, it's like a 90% chance the cancer cells woulda hit those lymph nodes...so I can do some treatment if you want, but it isn't advised. I'm still here 7 years later so I guess it's all good

I had melanoma and it was found in a lymph node

Typically people who are darker have more melanin and somewhat protects you from the skin cancer.
