Ok, so I may not agree with it, but I can understand firing someone for a risqué public photo on Facebook. The double standard is the real problem. If she was fired over it, he should have been fired as well.

the other consideration is why did she allow her photos to be public? (and if they weren't public, why was she facebook friends with students and/or parents?)

was this picture available on his facebook?

that could have been the difference. there are specific policies in school districts that prohibit you from befriending certain people on social media, and it could have been that which prompted her being fired, and not the specific photo (even though the photo was what brought attention to it)

You know this probably made controlling her classes very difficult.

I know in high school once my class made a teacher cry by mocking her personal life. If students were going around grabbing each other's boobs or the teachers boobs to mock the teacher, I could see a chain of events leading to that teacher being fired.

To an extent teachers are role models in the community, you wouldn't tell students to post suggestive pics of themselves online would you?
