The crime is changing behavior for the better. "I'm going to be a bit more careful from now on and pay attention to my drink for sure," Scheckelhoff says. It is a wakeup call for many students who have had to deal with muggings and burglaries over the last year or so, and now this. "Let's be honest. It's not the best area, but it's still surprising. Nobody wants to hear any of that," Ritterpusch says. So far, three victims have come forward. Police say there are pictures of at least six other young college-age men on Poindexter's phone. Some are drunk. Others passed out. Many in compromising positions. Investigators in Las Vegas, Dallas, Virginia Beach and other places Poindexter was known to frequent have joined in the effort to identify other victims."

^^ in a lot of places, the definition of rape only includes vaginal penetration. it doesn't mean that its less of a charge, just that it doesn't meet the requirements to apply a rape charge.

i just believe that "first degree rape" is a tag that should stick regardless of sex. a guy down the street from me was convicted of first degree rape like 5 years ago. (i looked up sexual offenders in my area). if he were raping men, id want him to have the same tag. seems like sexual assault can mean a whole myriad of different things.

So we know that the Grand Jury returned a True Bill finding Probable Cause that Joey Poindexter did commit sexual assault with 10+ college aged men.

We also know that a court found probable cause to order testing of the defendant where the court found that there is probable cause that the defendant exposed multiple victims to HIV.

^ ^ Under MD's § 11­112 the additional testing provided by the judge's §11-110 order is supplemental based on a few unique circumstances where exposure may be likely.

While the public domain will not say conclusively that he has been exposing dozens of men to HIV through rape (due to victims' and defendant's confidentiality protections), the court ruled that testing should be ordered pursuant to Maryland subprovisions of the statute including a circumstance where probable cause is found that exposure occurred.

So obviously for confidentiality purposes they can't really publish this shit in the mainstream media.

But notwithstanding all that, I say there is a clear bias in the media AGAINST men.

Why would Rolling Stone rather pursue a story about a fabricated rape than a story rather than a predatory rapist who is dropping barbiturates in other men's drinks at bars and then raping them and actually committing murder?
