I'm in an engineering job that I legitimately enjoy (not love but moderately enjoy I guess) at times and get paid very well for doing it. As far as the mix of enjoyment and $ it would be hard for me to beat this. However, if I ignore the money it certainly isn't my dream job from purely the work function standpoint.

Musician, writer, architect or interior design are high on the list of jobs I would love to do if money weren't an issue (obviously you can make good money doing all of those, but the distance for me to get to a point where I am making money in any of those is a little out there).

self-sufficient farm was a dream of mine too, and i hate patchouli. I even checked out a property this spring with 40 acres of farm land and a new greenhouse complex. but I'm not sure that I can generate enough extra income to pay a mortgage $600,000 higher than my current one, in addition to feeding us all

dude, i am way not disciplined enough when it comes to making and sticking to a budget for all that. One shitty week of ordering pizza and online shopping could start a cascade resulting in losing the farm, when things are balanced on razor-thin margins.
