How hard is it? Could I learn enough in 3 months to be impressive?

Can you read music? I learned to play fairly quickly but I can play a bunch of different instruments and could already read music. I taught myself in third grade to play by ear. It is a strange and not very useful talent but for some reason I can play just about anything except stringed instruments. My hands go all wobbly and jacked up.

Point is, if you know a bit about music and already know how to read it I think three months is enough time to learn a couple impressive songs.
