I usually pack a little carry on for most my business trips but this time im bringing a nice blazer and suit to wear one night. I always bring a back pack with my company laptop, etc. as my slide under the seat bag.I have a fold-able bag to put it all but can i bring this on plane as well? how do you guys travel?

Garment bag as your carry on and small bag with laptop as your personal bag.

Can you carry on a garment bag? Doesn't seem like it'd fit in the "imaginary box".

I wear all the coats. It's easier than packing them, yes I will wear 3 coats if need be.

^ LOL. I saw an article a while back about a guy wearing his wet suit on a plane.

The plane should have a small space for hanging garment bags.

I travel with multiple suits that I dry clean before they go in the luggage. I use to carry a garment bag until I discovered a trick...Pack your normal suitcase (the one wide enough for a suit). Leave enough room at the top of the bag for a folded suit.LEAVE YOUR SUIT IN THE DRY CLEANER PLASTIC.You can lay it flat in the suitcase, then keep overlapping it back and forth until it fits. Normally this means 2 folds. I have never had one wrinkle since I have been using this trick. The dry cleaner plastic doesn't allow the suit to get snagged, and it moves pretty well.[Edited on December 5, 2013 at 4:33 PM. Reason : .]

What type of plane? If it's a small rejet you would use the complimentary valet at the gate - better to bring a suitcase. I fold my jacket in a similar fashion as the video Jrb599 posted but I turn the one sleeve completely inside out and run the other sleeve through it (the entire jacket is then folded inside out). If you're not wearing it the first day, just hang it up in the hotel and any wrinkles will smooth out. I travel 100% for work and wear a suit everyday so obviously you need to do what I do
