I actually knew some of these for both movies. Some of the ones I didn't know though were quite interesting.

No problem. We haven't had a good Back to the Future Thread in a while.

Fact 36...Big4Country once almost threw his solar shades away on accident!

^I didn't have room to type Back to the Future since I wanted to put those other words in the title. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I never realized Huey Lewis was in the first movie until I read this.

How the fuck you not gonna know what BTTF stands for?

Also, that list really sucks. They didn't include any of the really cool stuff, like the fact that the Mall was called the twin pines mall at the beginning of the movie, and the lone pine mall at the end after Marty went back in time and knocked down one of the pine trees on the farm where the mall would be in 1985.

^I never realized that. I did know about the different actors and actresses playing the roles of some of the characters in the different movies though.

I thought everyone knew the mall went from twin pines to lone pine. Did you not see him run over the small pine tree? What are you people doing when you are watching movies?

Well that was my point. It's not something that 99% of people will notice on their own, even with multiple viewings (I didn't), but it's a pretty neat thing, and I can't believe that somebody would make a list of interesting facts about Back to the Future and not include it.

Also the chunk out of the clocktower where Doc's foot slipped didn't show up until after Marty went back

Plus the ravine at the end of III was renamed Eastwood Ravine

I know way too much about these movies.

I wasn't chastising people, I was chastising one person for not knowing it while also being a dick about it. Big difference. But I'm not surprised you're confused. You've always been very very stupid.

There are establishing shots of the mall sign. There's an ENTIRE SEQUENCE dedicated to the knocking down of one of the pines. THE FUCKING GUY YELLS ABOUT KNOCKING DOWN THE PINE.

How did anyone miss all of that?

the hill valley "town square" set has been used in several movies. unfortunately several years ago a good portion of it was destroyed by fire.

the movie industry calls it "courthouse square" according to wikipedia.

This is literally so douchy, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

Either way, It's still a billion times easier to miss than 'The no-name actress that played Jennifer in the first movie was replaced by the girlfriend from The Karate Kid in the next one.' Dur-hurr.

The website mentions that the original time machine was a refrigerator, but what it doesn't say is that to get back to 1985 in the original script, they take the time machine to the Nevada desert and Marty straps it to the back of a pickup truck, driving it into an atomic bomb test.

I'm going on record as saying that you two are fucking with me. There's no way that more than a handful of people noticed that. Especially if you watched it as a kid.

I recognized it as a kid too. Doc tells this whole story about how it all used to be "farmland as far as the eye could see. Old Man Peabody owned all of this. Had this crazy idea of... breeding pine trees..."
