Damn. I was hoping for a Justin Timberlake appearance knowing he's a golfer and his V nod at the concert recently.

the crowds seemed go get smaller and smaller over the past 7 years I volunteered. There would be a small gathering of folks when McCreery, Barkley, or one of the Hurricanes came through, but that's about it...

no spectators = no ticket revenue = not worth the yearlong process of planning such a huge event

It would help if they got some new celebs. I like that Barkley and a Scotty support it, but if they could get a couple of new faces it would go a LONG way to bringing up attendance. I was there for 2012, but was not terribly interested because the people were all pretty much the exact same. I did have a good time when I went though.

I will say that I didn't volunteer this summer, as I was out of town, but I heard the crowds were a record low.

Maybe divababy can elaborate

Personally, I think Elliott Avent, Thurl Bailey, Charles Barkley, Rick Barry, Bates & Anthony Battaglia, Rod Brind'Amour, Candace Cameron, Roger Clemens, Bobby Cremins, Jermaine Freaking Dye, Terry Gannon, David Gerrard, Coach Gottfried, Tom Gugliotta, Tim Hardaway, Al Harrington, Jay Harris, Gerald Henderson, Torry & Terrence Holt, David Justice, Sid Lowe, Scotty McCreery, Jim McMahon, Alonzo Mourning, Stuart Scott, Emmitt Smith, Dereck Whittenburg, and Mo Williams is worth much more than $5/ticket

I don't know who any of these people are. I'm so confused. What does golf have to do with N.C. State?

Just saw this thanks to a vanity search.

Ticket revenue was never a factor in each year's budget. We gave so many away that it didn't matter.

Jeepin' I have no clue what I'm going to do! Actually I'm helping with the Rock n Roll marathon coming to Raleigh in April. Plus I work with a couple other foundations that will hopefully keep me busy!
