I would have been livid if they had pulled this shit at Southpoint Thursday night and likely would have caused a scene. I went with about 15 friends. I got in line first with my family 2 hours before it openeand the rest of my group joined 15-20 minutes later. They all stood in line but one who was at work and came in shortly before the trailers started. We took up most of a row towards the top of the theater. I didn't go with just my wife and block the whole thing off to anybody else though and nobody else behaved that fucking way. The entitlement just pisses me the fuck off.

it was a common joke at the time used at the time as an excuse to relax, the song is about someone who wants to stay but during that time isn't allowed to say that so directly. no non-consent is implied, and the song ends with them singing together.
