I buy some every year, pour a glass, take one sip, and then remember how rich it is. Maybe, I will have one more glass that winter
It is tasty... Just too rich for me to drink a ton of.


At least now, I only buy a half gallon every year instead of buying a gallon to go to waste

I like eggnog but I hate nutmeg with a fiery passion. I always have to make my own if I want some. I use my grandmother's recipe. It's basically just a loose custard and probably 12000 calories per sip. With a little bourbon in it I can slip into a delightful holiday coma.

How do you not like nutmeg?

I usually get Hood eggnog.


Hood Light Eggnog:

140 cals (36 fat cals)
4g fat (2.5 sat)
22g cars (21g sugar)

That's only 1/2 cup though.

I think regular is only about 180 calories...so not that big of a difference. Fat Free/Sugar Free has only 110 calories...but I don't know if I want to go that far.

I've been going to Starbucks a few times a week and getting a chai latte with egg nog instead of milk. It's tasty as fuck, but now I"ll have to hit up mcd's and check out their offering.

i made some boiled custard about a week ago.

it's good on its own, and it also serves as a base for eggnog (I set some aside and mixed bourbon and rum with it.)
