There was some sketch kiosk in the mall for a weekend maybe with people dressed like croc hunter selling chipmunks.

I had one as a pet while I was in college. He was cool to me but an asshole to everyone else. Turns out you should not buy just one. Always buy a pair. They can die of loneliness...and also of your roommate putting out sugar ant bait and not telling you. RIP jellybean

I want to know what that was!!!

Anyway, so I too, just came to know about these sugar gliders. Commercialized cruelty to wild animals, that's what it is, or was, if they aren't sold anymore.

yeah, these things don't belong in cages.

Mine hated the cage most definitely. He spent most of his time jumping around my room terrifying guests or snuggling in my pockets. He made this sound when he was angry that was similar to an electric pencil sharpener. After having him I do not recommend keeping them as pets but if you do get giant cage or ideally a room with lots of things for them to jump around on and get more than one. And make your own food. That in itself is a huge chore if you want to do it right. I was convinced at the exotic animal show that he would be an easy awesome pet and it was not the case.

my friend fosters animals, and people end up surrendering their sugar gliders mostly because they didn't understand the commitment they were making.

if you are going to get an exotic pet, be sure you are ready to handle the task. And don't be surprised when they don't act sweet like a cat or dog would.

[Edited on December 30, 2013 at 11:18 AM. Reason : she takes her foster gliders to work, that is an idea of how much work they are to keep]

When I was in preschool we collected money to save a whale

I was very disappointed when I learned that the whale wasn't coming to live at our school
