I have 0 ability/talent/luck when it comes to clothes shopping. I need someone that knows wtf they're doing to go shopping with/for me. Something like...look at me, look at the clothes, pick what clothes look good on me, hand them to me and tell me to buy them.

Kind of like http://www.trunkclub.com/ but not insanely overpriced. I'm not paying $100 for a t-shirt nor am I paying $300 for a hoodie.

Look forward to doing business with you <3

Obvious answer is divababy, but don't you dare even look in the direction of cargo shorts when with her, she will smother the life out of you with her bean bags.

just sign up for this...

http://www.fivefourclothing.com/club/new/

they'll send you things each month, sometimes it might be out of your comfort level but you'll end up wearing it and maybe it'll open up your eyes to what your style really is.

The Nordstroms near me has a service where you meet with one of their employee shopping assistants, tell them what you're looking for and give them your sizes, and then they do your shopping for you. You just come back later to try on your clothes, and buy what you want.

^^^^ haha, I actually did that shortly before I posted this.

worth a shot.

I just seriously can't justify $200 shirts. Even if I had an insane amount of disposable income, I'm not sure I'd do the trunkclub thing considering how ridiculously expensive it is

maybe i'm being unreasonable? Never spent a lot on clothes.

^ That's interesting. I did read Nordstroms offered something like that - I didn't realize they went THAT far, though. Will check that out.

I wouldn't think nordstroms would be much cheaper than trunkclub.

Never been. No idea

I literally haven't purchased clothes in over a year. Now that I'm thinking...it may have been longer.

*shrug* What's reasonable? Obviously I'm not loaded, lulz. But I wouldn't expect anyone to go without compensation for his/her time. (GOD DAMMIT, MAKE THE SINGULAR THEY ACCEPTABLE)

Well...I have enough fashion sense and pride to avoid cargo shorts to begin with.

I've done a couple trunk club rounds and some of the stuff is overpriced for sure, I just return it. I don't have a problem paying $400 for a blazer or $250 for a pair of shoes, because the brands and quality are good and I'll probably keep them for awhile. The cost per wear value is better. $200 for a shirt that I'll only wear a year or so...not so much.

^ Not that I would hesitate for a second, but I'd still feel bad about constantly returning shit

I do Trunk Club and like it

(the shirts they send me run $70-$120. shirts are probably the item i return the most, i usually just find something similar on sale at nordstrom or nordstrom rack.)

Go to H&M. Cheap way to try out styles, and if you find something you really like then you can drop more money on a nicer version of it at another store, or buy one in every color at H&M.

Crabtree H&M usually has a gay guy in charge of the fitting rooms that will give his opinion if you ask. He's really nice about it too, unlike divababy.

haha, shit, I didn't realize trunkclub was going to start calling me. I hate phones enough as it is, now I have to tell an uppity stranger about my terrible clothing situation for 10 minutes

I am nice about my opinion.

I can't help that you continue to make stupid remarks and don't take advice when it's given.

Here's a smiley to make it seem like I'm not being a bitch.

Also any reputable store will assist you with shopping, like the service Nordstrom does. Saks, jcrew, banana, places like that. Just go in and chat with an associate and tell them what you're looking to do. It's their job (and sometimes their bank account relies on it) to make sure you have what you need.

I was a personal shopper when I worked at jcrew and at Saks.

THIS made me laugh, and I appreciate it came from OEPIEIIIII
