What's the likelihood of the license plate office being open today? Called yesterday and today and the number is disconnected.

the License Plate Office moved from the location next to the melting pot.
they are now on atlantic..not sure how long ago they moved
..thats still a weak excuse for not having a working number available to the public

So I'm confused. Is the engine bay actually painted neon green or is that a reference picture of an SR?

Looks pretty good overall though.

Yes. The bay is green.

The car was wired up with a wiring specialties harness so I shouldn't have any electrical issues.

It's a red top , stock turbo, tuned to 10psi

is there anyone in raleigh that has experience tuning these engines?

filled the gas tank up (93) and the car is running like shit, misfiring..rough idle

what's it tuned on? SAFC? spend $10 on some NGK BKR7E (4744) copper plugs and gap to 0.030". I usually find them in stock at NAPA

IIRC my friend's S13 blacktop SR would do 15psi on stock turbo (225whp mustang dyno) and it was rich (read: safe) up top on stock ecu. Dipping into 10:1 territory

aside from that, I guess J Mills is not the guy to go to

It is tuned using apexi safc2

When I took it for a test drive (and since I bought the car) it has been running great..a little rich but still making good power.

Yesterday I went to put some shell 93 in it and they were closed. So I went down the street and got 93 from Valero. Only put a few gallons in and it was still running great.
So last night I decide to drive to Valero and fill the tank with 93.
As soon as I left the gas station with a full tank the car started idling very rough and would misfire under light acceleration.
Could a full tank cause an overly rich condition?

nope

clean the MAFS? is it rich or lean when it breaks up at idle/light accel?

drain the tank (unplug fuel line, use catch bucket, and turn ignition on over and over) and try again with Shell

its rich

how am i supposed to pump 12 gallons of fuel using the little fuel pump..seems like it would take forever and kill the battery.

could i try siphoning? isn't there a drain plug on the 240 tank..?

i was hoping i could siphon most of it out and then drain or pump the rest out

Sounds like it could be a leaking o-ring on one of the injectors. Mine had similar symptoms when my o-ring was torn.

I'm actually in Raleigh today. I could maybe swing by and help out for a bit if you need.

P.S. yes to gt28/gt2560rs

No actual problems..just needed some parts after putting on the coils
i installed adjustable control arms and links and replaced one of my front hubs which had a bad bearing. wiring harness was rubbing on the tire in the wheel well so pulled it up out of the way..still need to get the fender back on.
got an alignment yesterday and it feels really good..(felt like complete shit..somewhat scary even..right after the adjustable stuff went on )
ill post more pics soon

Thinking about buying a mig welder.
Mainly to do the diff but I'm sure it will see more use.
What minimum power would I want to look for?

Hobart handler 140 - 120V/1ph, will weld 1/4" single pass, etc. expect to be $1000 into the welder, cart, good tank ($250+) and accessories. Don't skrimp.

I nigged mine from ZX a few years go and have laughed evilly since.
