Because they were really good that year, (had a few pros, including a guy named Mister Jennings). Les Robinson was their coach, and that win (and him being an alum) was primarily what got him the State job after V. So in hindsight, it was one of the worst losses in the history of our program.

^^^ Robinson's first season at State was the 90-91 season so he had already transferred here
