Tell her that catching hordes of wild fish and depleting the oceans is far worse for the planet than farming livestock.

Eh

She doesn't refrain from eating animals for any PETAesque reason. So, uh... There's that. She just doesn't want to.

when you pierce their mouths with a hook and then hang them from it, they seem pretty chill with that

I kinda do think they feel less pain

I dated a pescatarian who couldn't give up bacon. I called her a bacopescatarian. It was the bacon wrapped scallops that did her in.

^, ^^, people like that annoy me. There's a difference between people who eat less meat than others and people who eat no meat.

Also, vegans that eat honey. They're technically apetarians if they do, and also angry at you for making them now look for honey in the ingredients of everything.

And I'm a pescatarian, but because Jewish, I only eat certain kinds of fish, so I say vegetarian because it makes questions easier. So, for me, alligator would be out of the question even if it weren't, but I don't consider it a fish. It has limbs. Some of them can fucking climb.

I like how you get annoyed at people for using silly labels when you use the improper label for yourself.

you know what annoys me? there's no palatablecomestible non-animal protein that is as low in fat/carb per weight as seafood, other than protein powder. seafood makes dietary sense, minus toxins, but yeah, way too many environmental/health concerns here to make it a frequent part of my diet.

You can eat any kind of fish.

Shellfish, no. Fish, yes.

anyone who uses any of these labels for reasons other than preference annoys me. especially vegans. As if roping off large masses of land for farms and highways has no impact on animals. We have to eat and everything we eat impacts the environment to produce. the gluten free fad really annoys me as well.

these type of labels are almost like being gay. something gone wrong making you not want meat. some people say they were born not liking meat. not that i am bashing gay people. but the two seem similar to me.

Incorrect.

Octopus/squid/eel/shark aren't shellfish, but are not kosher, but those are questionable about being fish.
Fish that are fish that are not kosher include: catfish, anglerfish, freshwater cod, marlin, pufferfish, swordfish, certain types of mackerels, sturgeons, et cetera. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, there are full lists on the internet somewhere.

My general policy is to stick to white fish (flounder, cod, haddock), and salmon and tuna (arguably not white), and it makes life a lot easier.

If you eat fish at restaurants or buy processed fish at the grocery store you regularly consume non-kosher fish. Species substitution, contamination, etc. Just drop the fucking charade, you fake Jew fuck.

No. The concept doesn't annoy me. But if you're vegan and get up in my face for being vegetarian because some people think "that's not good enough", I'm going to point out that most vegans eat honey, and I'm going to walk away.

on a serious note, i dumped vegetarianism after over a decade of unwavering adherence and 3+ years of veganism because of the overwhelming pressure of vegan guilt culture. fuck that shit. and now i apparently eat animals for fun, since i've demonstrated i don't need them to live.
