Anyone want a Dell Inspiron 1000 or two?
I know they're old. Acquired these a few years ago in a trade and they've sat in a corner since then. Both power on, have 30GB HDD's...screen seems to work fine. They seem to be in excellent overall shape. Really not even a scratch on them. Specs can be seen in the screenshot below.
Not sure about battery life and make no guarantees about anything really. They power up and both show the DELL logo.
They either need new batteries, or the batteries need to be reset/calibrated, as they will not allow the laptops to boot completely up. Take the battery out though and they boot up XP just fine. You're welcome to come test them out before you buy.
Make an offer.

I will be by to collect them shortly
but seriously they're old laptops that need work it would take an additional $60+ to have them even working properly
so $20 is a reasonable opener for what would should be a sub $100 laptop (total cost) 2/24/2014 8:50:22 PM |

Thanks for the offer.
I think i'm just going to keep them though.
They'll be dedicated garage/woodworking/brewery/torrent machines. Might use one to run a CNC. No need for me to replace the battery...I'll just leave them plugged in.
