We did jump rope for heart every year at my elementary school. I'd walk around my neighborhood and get everyone to pledge money for each jump. The first year I raised a shitload of money because my neighbors didn't know how well I could jump rope. I was obviously very proud of myself and confused when Mom went around and told the neighbors that they didn't have to give me the $100 or whatever they unknowingly signed up for. The next 4 years people only pledged a penny per jump or just gave me a flat $20.

I just tried to jump rope recently and it's a lot harder than I remember as a kid.

i sucked balls at jumping rope when i was a kid. like i was pretty much the worst in my class at it.

^ I don't think it's without stopping, you just get a couple of hours outside and are given a jump rope. Most kids just bullshit around and try to beat each other with the jump ropes. Not me though, I was on a mission to save all the hearts.
