If you don't want your ass stared at, don't wear leggings that show your ass off . . . how fucking hard is this?

Or don't ogle women in public so we can have the freedom to wear what we want

Saying women shouldn't wear leggings is akin to "she was asking for it"

Looking at an attractive butt that is on display in skin tight pants is not akin to forcefully having sex with that butt against its will.

I want no part of a world where I'm shamed for ogling people's posteriors. I always follow up with a spoken compliment so it's not weird.

I just have a real passion for asses.

An ass passion.

The only reason leggings exist is for women to show off their asses to guys in public

Tim Gunn, the fashion guru, did an AMA on Reddit. He was asked about leggings and basically said they were tacky and trashy and shouldn't be worn in public because they are "too much". Under no circumstances is it acceptable to wear them to the store etc.

His words, anyway.

I don't mind em cause I like looking at butts.

You buy them to wear with tunics, and then after a while, you decide you don't really care what people think and you go ASS CITY all over everybody.

What I'm hearing is that you think it's perfectly fine to stare at women, even if it makes them uncomfortable

I hate hearing men claim they just can't control themselves

You could if you wanted to

Because it makes them uncomfortable. And then they start covering up. I got solicited in an outfit I thought was super cute. It made me feel really stupid and gross, and I never wore it again.

You gotta be covert and respectful with your approving glances.

Fuchsia do you think if some girl with huge tits is wearing a really low cut shirt and showing a bunch of cleavage, I shouldn't take a peek at her rack because it will make her uncomfortable?

I got yelled at at Six Flags when I was in 7th grade by a woman who had giant fake boobs that were hanging out of her shirt all over the place for looking at them. Except that I wasn't even looking at them. She just wanted to yell at people for staring at her.

This is very important.

Oh God, I'm so tired of this. I am a woman and I am so sick of this line of thinking. Honestly, I hate the whole "feminism" BS. Be comfortable with who you are and don't let people treat you like shit, and you're good. Stop whining about shit, for real.

Thanks.
It's really nice! It's like perfect. Like perfectly round. I can just picture you in your panties. Of all the asses I've seen, yours is the best. You must get a lot of compliments. Man, I can't get over how perfect it is. I bet it's firm too. You probably do lunges....

^yeah, something like that. He also added in "I noticed you the moment you walked in, you can't miss a perfect ass like that" I was kind of flattered at first, but when he kept going on and on I felt I needed an adult. It was in a bar, so I guess it's more acceptable, however it was only 10 pm and my brother was 10 feet away.

whatever, if I'm walking around in a speedo, I expect people to check out my package and to look at me. If you're a woman and you walk around in nothing but leggings, you should expect to get looked at. There is a little part of every woman that walks around in those that wants to get looked at. Its the inner attention whore coming out. My sister in law is one of these people. She walks around in those stupid ass leggings where you can see every outline of her asshole and vagina and she loves it when people start telling her that she needs to put some clothes on. It gets her attention.

You don't want people to stare at your ass? Cover it up. How hard is that to understand

You could also put on sweatpants.

Look, legally . . . repeatedly . . . courts at every level have agreed that you have no right to privacy in public. If you don't want attention, don't do things that draw attention to you.

If I rolled up into a parking lot wearing Speedos and Five Fingers I'd be an asshole to think that people wouldn't stare at me.

The fashion tights are pretty thin. If I go out in crops/tights, its gonna be from UA or Nike, the material is thicker and won't show when you bend.

I'm pretty sure that women deliberately wear revealing clothing to get lots of attention. That's totally fine and all, but why else would you wear revealing clothing? Honest question.

Because you like the look or think it's pretty, cool, highlights your best features, whatever...

Y'all comparing leggings to speedos has really opened my eyes. Cause I've never really considered them to be a wildly revealing garment that's begging for attention...but some of you have apparently lost your shit over some tight pants.

Honestly, you can look wherever you want. Of course, it's generally considered rude to stare at people, and that's something you should try to avoid.

But this shit, the thing where you all repeat the same tired lines about how women want the attention and you're so confounded by their hypocrisy and blah, blah, blah...this gets old. If some lady wants to be offended cause a dude stared at her boobs too long, just let her be offended. The conversation can end there.

Don't we have an entire thread somewhere dedicated to women in yoga pants...?

Lots of women just find them comfortable to wear, but they are more eye catching to males than most other casual women's clothing.

Yeah, I thought y'all liked looking at asses.

I did not realize it was more: Oh yeah, let me look at that ass that she put on display for me. I'm gonna give her the attention that she so obviously wants me to give her. She shoulda worn sweatpants if she didn't want me to stare at DAT ASS!

According to many of you, this is what yoga pants/legging signify.

The fact that you think they're "eye catching" shouldn't have to be on some woman's mind when she's throwing on clothes to go to the store. They're just pants.

This has been an issue for decades, and if it's seriously going to continue, then I think we should all just dress like aggressive hookers. Just tits and ass all over the place. Then you won't have to suffer under these delusions that the woman in front of you at the coffee shop put on her pants that morning for the sole purpose of catching your eye. Seriously, y'all are fucking crazy.

I can really speak to the "women WANT" the attention, I've never got that line of thinking (unless you're out at a bar/club, or it's Halloween, there's plenty of evidence to suggest women wear things for attention in these scenarios).

It is crazy, but it's a component of our crazy society. I think part if the problem is that women only "feel" attractive when they're dolled up or having a good hair day or whatever, and guys don't notice them otherwise.

When the reality is that guys notice women under any scenario, whether they are having a good hair day or wearing makeup or whatever (drake even sings about this...). So I guess it's part of the disconnect of how women perceive themselves as vs. how others/guys perceive them.

There's probably nothing women can do to stop gawkers. The level of skin shown only changes the relative amount of gawking, but there will always be gawking. Probably the best thing is for pranksters to make videos like the OP. maybe we can teach our kids to 1) know what you're gawking at BEFORE you gawk 2) only gawk discreetly.

Sweatpants aren't the solution. Even an exposed ankle has been regarded as titillating.

Dudes get pretty up in arms when someone suggests they shouldn't look. But it's even worse the other way around: women aren't allowed to be uncomfortable, and if they are, they better put on some sweatpants, and even then, we're still gonna stare.

Just be polite. Not that hard. And if somebody's having a crazy day and goes on a rant about your leering, there's a good chance she's a hypocrite who doesn't find you attractive. But that's not actually an injustice, and it's nothing compared to a million male voices droning on about how these hos best put on they sweatpants if they ain't tryna get our attention. We just giving the bitches what they want.

Also, the dude in the video in the original post is sticking his ass out like a baboon in heat. Of course people were going to look. And how did he even know that they were ogling him? He seems to turn around and immediately assume it if they're looking his way.

There's a difference between a glance and an all out ogle. Personally, sometimes I just can't help sneaking a glance, especially if it's all thrust out there (like the dude from the OP).
I feel like that whole video is a little silly, since he just pounces right on any guy that walks by.

Do yoga pants draw attention? Yes. There's really no helping that. I'm not saying I agree with the guys that stare/drool/catcall, I most definitely don't.
