Charter changed shit around a week ago out here at the beach. 3 became 10, 5 became 9, 6 became 3, 7 to 5, 8 to 7, 9 to 13, 10 to 11, 13 to 12, and that was just the previously correctly numbered networks. Now it's all a complete clusterfuck.

yeah used to be there were only a 2-3 sections of channels that seemed seemed like they were thrown together but now I can't make any sense of the groupings other than "kids" and "sports".

Does anyone know the reasoning behind lineup changes with cable providers? I've had DirecTV for 6 years and there has never been a lineup change that I can remember, but it seems like TWC changes their lineup at least once a year.

False. The new lineup makes better sense. The separate SD and HD channels have been merged using their auto HD feature to reduce redundancy. Channels are grouped by theme. It's much better than what they had.

"Tomorrow Time Warner Cable is putting their channel lineups into a blender. The result will be better groupings of channels, with automatic selection of HD channels. All channels below 100 will stay as-is.

The problem is, what do you do when you are used to going to channel 1500 to see SportsCenter? How do you find where Palladia and TLC went? Instead of searching through Time Warner’s Numeric channel guide, you can use the gogoraleigh Alphabetical Channel Guide. Simply fold it in half and keep it in a convenient place. It’s a free download, and it’s gogoraleigh’s way of thanking the readers for keeping gogo going (for 6 years now)!."

On item one, this is fine but they already had a feature that would send you the HD regardless of which one you dialed into so this isn't really a change.

On the theme grouping, they already had that better. Now ESPNU is 50 channels away from the other ESPNs, FX and FXX are 30 channels apart, History and H2 are way far apart. etc.

I've always programmed my favorites and then set the guide to only show those--out of a bajillion channels, you end up with 80 max you'll ever want to see on your guide.

It's a tedious and time-consuming task so it's kinda my jam.

Why is there not a button to favorite a channel I'm watching. That shit is like 3 menus deep.

I've never lived anywhere in Raleigh that actually has Uverse so I usually treat it as mythical and forget about it. Where in Raleigh actually has access?

I'm spending a little more but I have direct tv , and twc for internet only. TWC tv offerings were terrible, while I get whole home dvr, hd, and a decent channel selection from direct tv.

^ same here. But if you are paying "a little more" now, just wait until the 2nd year of your DirecTV contract. My DirecTV bill went from $70 in month 12 to $110 in month 13.
