^^ Well, for one it's pretty unethical to distribute student writing without their permission. It might even violate FERPA laws. In any case, if my employer found out I was uploading pictures of their work, I'd have a lot of explaining to do.

It's one thing to quote them anonymously, it's another to catalog their work online with pictures and the intention to mock them in a blog.

I was a TA for es 100, this student couldn't spell disease. I think he spelled it desease..... multiple times. I circled it and spelled it correctly and told him it would be points off next time.

He kept doing it. This was years ago. All I can hope for now his employment does not involve spelling.

as much fun as it is to poke fun at people for bad spelling, (and as undignified as it looks) it's really an indicator of nothing more than an inability to spell.

But you're right to correct a student.
There are several words I have chronic problems with. I can't remember what they are right now, though, and that's largely the problem.
