Mobb Deep is a great representation of a group that people liked but no one really loved. They had LOTS of hits but it's seriously been 10+ years since they were notable and the industry has changed a lot.

Mobb Deep was awesome when they were awesome and they made music people in at or around the turn of the century "loved" in the same way your cousin loved that Carly Rae Jepson song from a few years ago. It's ok, you're just old. Unless you really think today's pop is awesome, and then...?

Don't get all butthurt about it when they can't draw excitement ten years later. They aren't Coldplay.
