Ive built floating shelves and a desk before. They are very easy to build

For the shelves I used hollow core doors and cut them down to the size I need.

For the desk I used 1/2" Purebond Plywood

Be sure to secure a cleat of sufficient size to the wall or your entire desk/shelves will fall off
