I have a friend who named his dog the same name as his brother, Marty. I find it pretty funny in that instance.

What about uncommone human names.

Stanley and Dewey seem like acceptable pet names, but people get those names as well.

We have a cat named Tom, which is the same as Aaron's dad. We didn't name the cat after the person intentionally, though.

I don't understand why people address their pets with "sir" or "ma'am". Those are used to show respect (& be polite) to other people/elders. I'd say that's worse than human names.

What about non-standard/non-American human names? My dog is named Dimitri. Does that make me more or less of a tool?

Strippers are a national treasure. I especially like the ones who clearly have issues beyond just the normal daddy issues.

I name all of my pets after World War II generals or their wives.

My rabbit was Curtis LeMay. My dog is Bea, for Patton's wife.

What about people who name their kids pet names?

Like the parents of Benedict Cumberbatch. That's a goddamn cat name.

I have Bella, Remy, Izzy, Axl, and Biscuit. Axl and Izzy are the only ones named after a person (Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin)

We'll probably end up naming our kid Bella, so that'll be awkward.

Hunter. Kinda not on purpose though...we got him at an animal shelter on Hunter Rd. So it was simple...didn't have to think about it too much.
