...on the Internet? And what was it about?

I was 10. Somebody said that "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers was their favorite song of all time. I gave 'em my snarkiest reply, and it felt really good.

Incidentally, I suspect this was also the first time I got trolled. I would not come to understand trolling for another 15 years--still don't get it entirely.

I think i was around 7-8 years old when i went to the Prodigy bulletin boards to get tips on how to beat the minotaur catacombs in King's Quest 6. Someone claimed they had a map and would fax it to anyone who wanted it. We didn't have a fax machine but i didn't really understand what faxing was so i was getting frustrated they weren't sending it and told the person to "fax me the map now "or else""

parents found out what i wrote, typed up an apology and i got in trouble, lol.

Actually, I was 12 cause this was definitely an AOL thing. Before that, I mainly played games at Nando.net. Most of my time in elementary was devoted to offline "flaming": I'd write hateful letters to my sister, change the font to Wingdings, and tape them to her door. She'd "translate" them and write one back. Despite the content, I always signed mine "with love" cause that's how you write letters! Occasionally, she'd write really kind things to me so she could watch my reaction and laugh: I got you so good!

We finally got the Internet when I was about 14. I distinctly remember trolling a George Strait fan chat on IRC.

My parents encouraged my cheeky shenanigans. They would stand over my shoulder and be like, "OK, now say this..." and laugh way too hard at something that was moderately funny at best.

Pretty sure I didn't start being mean to random people till I made an account here. I remember talking in chat rooms when I was about 10, before they were creepy. It was a lot of fun. When I was 14 I went back to the chat room I frequented and after about 5 minutes on there I got a dick pic. I remember being disappointed in the internet.
