De La Soul is the first name on there. There are people on tww who have never even heard of De La Soul? Seriously?

We should form a TWW band and try to get on Hopscotch next year since any band we've never personally heard of is worthless. It could be one of those huge Polyphonic Spree types of bands with 20 people on the stage all pretending the music wouldn't be the same without our personal inputs. We could call it [NO]. I meant for this post to be sarcastic, but the more I think about it the better it sounds.

How'd you come up with that assessment? It seems that most or all of the first 8 commenters possibly haven't heard of them.

oh, ok, my bad, you're assuming that they're the 1 or 2 or 3 of the bands that some people have heard of. glad you're here to keep people straight.

let me rephrase my question then: "There are people on tww who have never heard of De La soul? Seriously?"

^^super vague.

And I would hate to have this chick know I was talking about her online because her opinion of herself is already way too high.

But I suspect Skack may have an idea who the chick is.

Spoon b/c my hipster friend is freaking the fuck out about them being here.

Looked at the headliners and then the first 4 rows of bands before it was giving me a headache on the crappy screen I am on at the moment. At that point I had heard of all of them and owned albums from over half.

I'm guessing as the list goes on I'd probably only know a quarter of the rest of them though.

The biggest thing that caught my eye was The White Octave. I had no idea they were playing these days still.
