Exhibit A. This woman started in the right hand lane, I watched as she maneuvered to the far left turn lane. What you see above is her in the turn lane.

last week on 117 between mount olive and faison i saw an 18 wheeler pull out onto 117 from a stop sign in front of a another 18 wheeler that was just ahead of me. the guy was probably doing about 65 (he had just passed me and my coworker, who was driving). he locked up the brakes and pretty much spun the truck out and jackknifed it in the middle of the intersection where the other driver pulled out, but he didn't hit him. i assume the trailer was empty since he was able to do that without turning it over. we slowed down to make sure the guy was ok and he got out madder than hell and yelled for some other driver to go stop the dumbass. when we left, somebody else had the idiot blocked on the side of the road and was on the phone, presumably with the authorities. pretty fucking crazy to see a tractor trailer do that and a hell of a job by the driver (or he's extremely lucky, probably a little of both).

What can they do to the guy that pulled out? They will just cite the guy that jackknifed with failure to control/reckless driving. At least thats how it is in VA (Ask me how I found out). In the event that a person pulls out/ does anything stupid that you have to wreck to avoid, you are better off hitting them. Those were the words of the cop.
