I think Eddie Vedder's soundtrack to Into the Wild is pretty brilliant.

I like Rolling Stone's Gimme Shelter in Good Fellas.

And The Door's THe End in Apocalypse Now

And Kenny Roger's and the New Edition's Just Dropped (to see what condition my condition was in) in the Big Lebowski dream scene is really cool.

There are plenty more that I'm not recalling right now.

I think the scene towards the end of The Fountain with "Death is the Road to Awe" is probably one of the greatest things ever made.

Also every song in every Wes Anderson movie ever.

All of Rocky IV.

By the way, Dolph Lundgren is really Swedish, has undergraduate degrees in chemistry (spent time studying at Clemson) and chemical engineering, as well as a master's degree in chemical engineering (top in his class). He also won a Fulbright Scholarship to MIT. Not your typical meathead.

Lots of gold in this thread. I'll add the following, which a lot of Tarantino's stuff borrows from(or outright steals lol):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0BrdMi-oyc

one of my favorite scenes ever

Love that scene and the final sequence, tough not to think of Leone and Morricone's films when seeing this thread.

Lol, same - missed it as well.

I haven't seen Fistful of Dollars or For a Few Dollars More in a few years, but the Leone films & Morricone scores were perfect. They're releasing a version of Once Upon a Time in America this September that includes deleted scenes they found/restored just a few years ago.

I cannot see what has already been posted since I'm at work, but I'm going to go with:
-The end gun fight in "One Night at McCool's"
-The Boondocks Saints fight with the brothers vs Il Duce

^yes. Apocalypse now has a lot of good ones.
The End at the beginning and end (especially when the tribe sacrifices the cow)
That scene^.
Satisfaction as Lance is skiing through the rice paddies and Mr. Clean is dancing.
Suzie Q when the playmates are dancing.
The eerie music and electric guitar (maybe it's Hendrix?) when Lance is tripping while walking through the trenches at the Do Long bridge....

I also like when the use Surfin Bird on Full Metal Jacket. "Is that you John Wayne? Is this me?"
