I just searched her name again (non-exact phrase, with and without middle name), and the article in question was down in the third page of Google search results for just first and last name (when "Personal Web Search" is turned off, using the pws=0 query parameter); now the Google results are a mix of social-networking profiles for many people with her name.

She may have a friend in a similar situation now but IDK.

FYI the recently-announced "right to be forgotten" only applies to EU residents, so we Americans still can't get Google and other search engines to keep certain results from showing up on searches for our names just because they're embarrassing or even defamatory.
