I see mixed opinions of this everywhere. Is it coming to Raleigh or not FFS?

I have no idea. It would seem obvious to me that ESPN wouldn't wanna do FSU 3 times in 5 weeks (and back to back weeks). But apparently it's a real possibility. Who knows.

I don't know when that gets announced.

maybe, but the matchup is less sexy since Mizzou shut the bed yesterday and will probably drop from the top-25

clearly would have been Oregon State vs USC had USC not lost to BC

Rules on Engagementmeday

1. They rarely go to games not involving at least 1 top 10 team (big rivalries always the exception
2. They have done the defending champions 5 and 6 times in one season twice in recent years
3. They have done games involving the same team 3 times in a row 5 times since 2000
4. They don't like going out west

Here are your options

Option1. @ Syracuse for #9 Notre Dame in town (received the primetime ABC slot which may be decided by the same people who dispatch gameday.
Option2. @ NCSU for #1 Florida State in town (light rivalry, only game between two unbeatens).
Option3. @ #14 3-1 South Carolina for #18(and dropping) 3-1 Missouri in town
This game actually has realistic implications on who will win the SEC East thus both teams, although not unbeaten, both have realistic shot at the national championship.

Really 2 huge factors were working against us to basically assure we had no shot at landing Gameday.

They just covered FSU last week.
The opening line was FSU to win by basically 4 TDs, so everyone expects a blowout which isn't great for TV.

Had the line opened at 14 or so, we might have had an outside shot but 4 TDs? No way ESPN commits extra resources to that.

^^ Missouri also just lost to Indiana. So even though we still would be blown out - I doubt the Missouri/USC game will be any good either.

^that matchup still looks much better than ncsu/fsu, thus CGD is going to columbia.

This has to be the worst combination of teams for gameday ever.
