Rand Paul scares me quite a bit because all of my right wing conservative friends in grad school were in love with the dude simply because they could claim to be a "libertarian" and not some dumb fuck republican. Now, not trying to make fun of the republicans on this board, but they do say a lot of dumb shit that just does not jive with high academia. Apparently, Rand Paul was the alternative, so I hope that he is exposed for the pandering conservative that he actually is.
