It's like when we play the cupcake teams: there's a lot more to lose than there is to win.I'm not questioning our ability to beat them. I hope we pound them and make a big statement to open the ACC. But we've been burned before.

being bad at free throws makes any game losable. All we have to get are officials that call it close (quite common in acc games for some reason) and we're in trouble.

This is just one of those games that will really screw you over in ACC tournament seeding. Losing this is just shooting yourself in the foot on that.

unless you're putting money down, this has pretty much nothing to do with how big the spread happens to be. if we beat Wake by 20 or beat Wake by 3, it will have little (if any) impact come selection sunday

It may be a small sample size, but our adjusted scoring margin is under what WF's is.

Using our ASM and WF's averages, we lose 84-40. Using WF's ASM vs our averages, the expected outcome is we still lose 65-60.

I think we score somewhere in the mid 70's and they score in the high 50's.

They live off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against us.

They dont shoot threes at all. That's our main weakness defensively.

Defensively they are horrid.

They are hopelessly short and have zero depth.

I like NC State vs the spread. This has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 15 point spread.
