every christmas for the past few years i give my wife a blu-ray of The Wizard of Oz... it stemmed from one christmas i saw a really good deal for the disc on slickdeals so i gave it to her, but didn't realize she already had a copy. So it's kind of a joke that i give it to her in her stocking every year.

(yes, i know this isn't amusing to anyone but me and her)

is it at least the same DVD used over and over?

Back when I was younger, I made a 'gift certificate' using (AutoCAD) from a small-town gas station my dad always patronized; he gave it to her to open Christmas morning. She was completely confused, but believed it 100%.

haha yeah. although i've thought about actually buying a copy every year and letting her donate it to a charity she likes.

My go-to is wrapping up cash in box after box, with the final layer being some puzzle box thing.

I gave my brother-in-law a peeter heater one year. A knit sock for the penis. I believe there's a thread on here somewhere talking about them.

From above -

No, she wholeheartedly accepted it. We waited another 5-10mins before telling her I made it

Wrapped in 5' tall box. "It's big! All I can say is it's big!"

$3 DVD for a $20 gift exchange.

I've actually somehow received, given away, and received again that same copy in three consecutive years.
