I recently upgraded several drives in my media server to higher capacity HDDs. All have been tested with Seagate SeaTools and came back without any errors.
1.5TB (Seagate Barracuda) - $25 3TB (4 WD Green, 1 Seagate Barracuda) - $50 each 4TB (Seagate Barracuda)- $75
Two WD 3TB drives are still under warranty through February and March. Seagate 3TB drive is under warranty through January 2016. 4TB drive is under warranty through November 2016

The Seagates are all 7200. The WD Greens aren't specified, but are comparable to a 5400. You can google for more info on them.
4TB drives are gone and I'm down to 3 3TB drives (2 WD, 1 Seagate). 12/29/2014 8:28:14 PM |
