I think the last time I had the Integra's belt changed (including water pump) it was $700. This was only 35k miles ago, but like 7 years i think. 1/7/2015 9:13:18 AM |

$900 seems a little high. My friend has a similar aged accord I think he spent $750 last year but that is my only data point so that is not really useful.
However, if the price ends up being fair, I wouldn't really think twice about paying for it and then continuing to drive the car if everything else has been running OK and it only has 150,000 miles. 1/9/2015 8:46:12 AM |

It's only got ~110k miles.
^ Thx for the data point! 1/9/2015 9:38:54 AM |

Well I would hope that civic has a good bit more life in it then. Pretty low mileage for a 2000.
We have an '01 Civic with 150k and and '02 Grand Am with 160k and I'm not planning on getting a new car anytime soon. We'll see if our cars have other plans for us though. our '01 Civic had the timing belt changed around 100k but that was by the previous owner right before we bought it it from them so I don't know what he spent unfortunately. 1/9/2015 10:25:13 AM |
