this is exactly why i hate back-up cameras. they're good in addition to mirrors and looking where the hell you're going, but folks think they can completely replace that.

i do think having one would make it a hell of a lot easier to hitch up my boat without getting in and out of the truck 10 times.

^Back up cameras and back up sensors are different.
Her car shows a picture, not make noises.

This is a good reason not to drive new (or nearly new) cars. That happens on a 5 year old car, polish out the streaks, hit it with some touch-up paint and call it a day.

Maybe I'm just cheap though.

I noticed a giant scrape/paint streak on my gf's car in the driveway one day. I ask and she says "I dunno, I think someone hit me" then I watch her pull into my garage and scrape my house in the exact spot.

It's so fucking true.

My ex girlfriend scraped the side of my car with hers when she was backing out of her parking spot (turned the wheel too soon). She HIT A PARKED CAR.

My ex ex girlfriend rearended someone at a stoplight when she let her foot off the brake while they were sitting there.

My sister claims her "brakes didnt work" one day and she ran off the road and into a massive bush in the front yard of a church, LOL. Totalled that car.

My sister got a new car and a few months later sideswiped a DUMP TRUCK when she didnt look before changing lanes on the highway. A GODDAMN MASSIVE AND LOUD DUMP TRUCK.

My wife backed into a concrete pillar in a parkinglot.

And my only accident that i've been a part of - a woman rearended me at 40mph while I was sitting still at a stoplight on Capital Blvd. I had been sitting still for a good 10-15 seconds....
