Anybody not doing something to stop violent riots like this are just as guilty as the rioters.

And if a rioter is hurt, or even killed by the law enforcement trying to stop this rioting, it's their own fault.

I like how the race baiters want to act like 100% of sports fans who celebrate wildly / riot after a big win are white people, and that race is the issue here, and not militarized police

Doesn't impact my opinion. Look at how the media covers this riot in comparison to Ferguson. In Ferguson all coverage was on the damage they did, in this instance you get 10 seconds, a shot of some tear gas and back to the game. As if these rioters just stood in the street calmly.

if you look at the pics, the vast majority is white. and you have to realize that race is a big issue in how the media covers it, and how middle-america views and rationalizes it.

Hypothetically speaking. If Shaw University won a National Championship, and Shaw students were in the streets burning stuff what do you think the spin would be? "Just kids having fun, celebrating" or "Thugs destroying the community, looting (if anything goes missing) etc".

Tearing down goal post--while common--isn't cheap to fix. I think this can be viewed as an equivalent to the damage of looting. However, since it was mostly white people that did this, it's just kids having fun.

I know a lot of white america has that view, but I personally am all for treating sports rioters just the same as any other person damaging other peoples property. Gas em, arrest em, shoot them if they become hostile. You can celebrate your teams victories in a peaceful manner just like you can protest fucked up shit in a peaceful manner. I am probably in the minority here though.

Do you really expect a few hours of unrest after a sporting event to be covered in the same capacity as several weeks of social unrest with citizens clashing against the police?

Why would you want it to be covered in the same way? They're different events. Do you really need more in depth coverage of a drunk college student lighting a dumpster on fire to celebrate a win? Or do you wish the media didn't cover the destructive side of the Ferguson riots?
