"DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Electronic Systems, Linthicum, Maryland, has been awarded a $12,327,604 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a research project under the Supply Chain Hardware Integrity for Electronics Defense (SHIELD) program. The SHIELD program aims to develop an advanced supply chain hardware authentication system and a capability that can detect counterfeit electronic components anywhere in the supply chain. Fiscal 2014 research and development funds in the amount of $1,438,053 and fiscal 2015 research and development funds in the amount of $2,551,023 are being obligated at the time of award.
