My opinion one way or the other:

Innocent until proven guilty. With sexual assault as of late it seems to be the other way around. I understand protecting the victim, but if your going to do that you need to protect the accused as well.

I had to deal with the student conduct people one time,
basically Paul Cousins had no material proof that I did anything, so he threatened to kick me out of school, I asked "for what" after about an hour of this, he told me to get the hell out of his office, and he would deal with me later

he said we had to meet again, so I made an appointment for the week after graduation, which I then canceled at the last mintue

I never heard from him again.

I am fundamentally confused by the media hype surrounding college sexual assaults. Prosecute offenders. Period. End of discussion. Why is there this unnecessary cultural dark cloud hanging around where people believe nothing is being done? It's HARD being a male! You are CONSTANTLY in the spotlight. Society is definitely actively prosecuting.

I actually think people need to chill out on the college sexual assault. So who are they trying to cater to? Is there money involved?

It's not just sexual assault, dummy.

Universities have always had the ability to expel students for anything with very little proof. You explicitly don't get an attorney, and you can do very little to defend yourself. If they feel like it, they can kick you out for a can of beer in your dorm that didn't even belong to you--and keep your tuition money.

If you get caught up in some drug nonsense off campus, and the police officer chooses to report it to student conduct, they can kick you out of school for that, too--even if you're never convicted of the original crime in a court of law.

So, yeah...it's a little late for you to be getting all up in arms about justice and shit on behalf of some pricks who can't tell crazy when they see it and don't know when to tone it down a bit and be halfway nice to the women they put their weiners in.
