Does anyone know of any bars/restaurants that have large wraparound booths that would seat more than six people?

Thanks.

wraparound booths are the worst

oh, what's that, you need to use the restroom? okay, just a sec while all 6 of us scoot out of our seats then stand and wait for you to collect your purse so we can all slide back into our seats then slide back out again when you return in a few minutes

I like it when there is an odd numbered party seated in said wrap around booth.

And the edges of the cushion for assured escape are equidistant.

Thus, all things being equal when faced with that situation, it is purely a matter of preference as to which people you inconvenience in getting out of the wrap-around booth. On either side of you, you will inconveniencing an equal number of people (2 people have to get out to let me go this way, 2 the other way)

Meanwhile everyone at the table knows this as your eyes avert to the bathroom door.
They are watching to see who you ask to move.

I call this the wrap-around booth paradox of Buridan's ass.

So basically I just end up soiling myself at the table because I am too polite to ask anyone to move.

There needs to be rule stating that whoever gets up has to sit on the outside when they return.

Good point. Anyone on the inside must exit and enter beneath the table then.

I was thinking that the wraparound booth would make it easier for eight people to chat versus a table with four on one side and four on the other.

Or, at least, it would make it easier for those on opposite corners to chat.

See now when families go out to dine and you overhear one of them say,
"Oh honey, you better sit on the outside....." [of this wraparound booth] while they are finding their placement;

I will no longer think it's because that person has a propensity to shit at restaurants (to the detriment of everyone else in the wraparound booth having to let her out to the bathroom)

Now I will just simply think in general that just in general, she's awkward....

this person shall now be known as the outsider
it's kind of like being unpopular at school I suppose

To the OP, based on all posts herein the forecast is good that you shall discover which among your 8 cohorts is most awkward based upon seating alone.

If this is for business or commercial purposes, it could also be used as a corporate litmus test to figure out who your weak link is so that you can fire that person when you go public.

Because he shits in restaurants.

Thanks. I actually checked with Village Draft House, and they said that their booths sat six but that they could add a table to the booth to extend the seating capacity.
