so I've been looking for some of the foods I used to eat as a kid (1980s and 1990s) and it looks like in these shameful modern times they no longer exist, but was wondering if anyone remembers these and knows of acceptable substitutes:

Freezer Queen boil in bag turkey/chipped beef - I hear Stouffer's makes a microwavable chipped beef but I've never seen it anywhere

Lipton Cup A Soup with the thin noodles - everywhere I look has thick noodles

Ecto Cooler - apparently this was under a different name for a while but hasn't been made for a few years

Keebler Pizzarias - they claim these are under the TGI Fridays brand now but I wonder if its the same taste

Keebler Tato Skins - same as Pizzarias, sold to TGI Fridays?

Planter's Cheez Balls - are the Utz ones any good?

basically every good flavor of kool-aid

-purplesaurus rex
-sharkleberry fin
-great bluedini
-rock-a-dile red
-incrediberry
-slammin' strawberry kiwi

This gum they sold at the crappy gas station that made your mouth foam like you were rabid. I have no idea what it was called, but it was awesome when you were 10.

Bubbilicous Mondo gum. It was basically one piece of bubblegum the size of a candy bar. so glorious.

Josta.

Surge.

Dunkaroos
3D Cool Ranch Doritos
Nabisco (I think) Brown Edge Wafers

If any of these came back, I would buy a lifetime's supply.

Sam's Club sells Dunkaroos

I really wish they still sold the Mickey Mouse ice cream bars...the ones where Mickey's ears are chocolate....They only sell them at Disney World/Disney Land now.

At least they had them last year when I saw them and bought a box.

Not as good as I remember as a kid...Probably cause as an adult, you think about things like cholesterol, sugar and calories

What happened to the original Chillie Willie popsicles? I'm not talking about that penguin or whatever else ripoff. The ones with the boy's face on the package. I can't even find a picture on the internet. Did they even exist? Is this a dream? Help!

You're thinking of Chilly Willee. The brand is mostly just frozen slush drinks now, and the mascot is a blue seal in a toque, but they did used to make freeze pops (not popsicles). The old mascot was a white boy with black hair, a red sweater, and black shorts.

How about Hostess Pudding Pies?

I miss these too

I remember our freezer was always stocked with these Ore Ida Easy Fries where the each fry came in their own individual slot...inside a warming sleeve.

Kind of like these but not this brand and the fries weren't crinkle cut.

Disappeared for 10 years and came back in 2008, and is losing steam again

Anyway, I would have to go to the UK to get it again

Awesome ice cream cake roll with golden sponge and strawberry jam. Best off the shelf prepared dessert ever.

Do they still sell Fun Dip and Pixy Stix?? I ate a ton of that crap as a kid...don't think I could eat it again.

I would destroy some Gushers right now though. And those mickey mouse ice cream pops posted earlier. That was my go-to at the pool.

Holy fuck...forgot about the PBMax. I enjoyed those.

You could make just about anything in the late 80s/early 90s...and kids would eat it.

Just throw in some combination of chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, "nougat", rice krispes, whatever...put a funky name on it and you're selling millions.

I remember liking this cereal, and the commercials were funny. they still make it but without the nut clusters (har har), so what's the point?

and in typical 90s fashion, a Seinfeld ad on the box

Clusters was also my favorite cereal growing up. You had to eat them really fast though, because their flakes got soggier faster than other other flaked-cereal.

Their most common cereal ancestor in present time would be Honey Bunches of Oats (I dig the Almond version, but its almost impossible to find these days).

I really miss these. Apparently, they're trying to restart production and you can pre-order cases of it but they won't actually ship to you until they get X number of cases ordered and actually begin production.

i swear there was a gummy candy that looked like the haribo sour cola candy, but was cola-cola licensed with multiple flavors, not sour, and softer. sometime in the late 80s/early 90s

fuck if i can find any evidence of it existing though

also some disney-branded lollipop tube things

Man...this thread is great. PB Crisps are some of the best snacks every made. The peanut butter in them was delicious...and the Crips/PB ratio was perfect.

I used to get those and the Mickey Mouse Bar all the time at grade school lunch; they were 40 cents from the school cafeteria. oh memories...

my grandmother always had 20 Donald Ducks in her freezer because none of us liked grape. I miss immediately biting the ears off of Minnie and Mickey

Fuck yeah, use to love some Cheese Tid-Bits. Always preferred them to Cheeze-Its.

Stuff I haven't seen in ages that might still be around:
Kudos bars.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling Ice Cream Bars
Squeeze-It
Gelooze - Jello in a squeeze-it bottle basically.
Soda-licious

Would say French Toast Crunch but they brought it back recently, haha.
Rice Krispy Treat Cereal was delicious and made a comeback as well.

Dollar General has been in the news so much lately due to rodents I wouldn't be surprised if one of you assholes raved about the new Dunkaroos with chocolate sprinkles.

I'm truly sorry I insulted a Carolina staple-
