What are some vehicles that used to be very cool or trendy, but are now absolutely ridiculous and you wouldn't want to be caught driving one?

is there a better example than the Hummer H2?

I don't know that the prius is all that ridiculous. The Smart car is more ridiculous, but I don't know if it was ever cool.

I saw a sea-foam green Plymouth Prowler in Miami. It looked straight outta the 90's

I can't find a picture of one on GIS, but oh well, I'm sure you all can imagine this beast!

Northstar powered instead of a LS etc....

Was supposed to be the flagship sports car, which ended up being the CTS-V Coupe

^ It's Northstar instead of LS?? TIL. What a letdown. I'll never look at those cars the same.

But whatever, CTS-Vs rule. Caddy is forgiven.

since the OP says vehicles and not specifically motorized vehicles or cars, I thought I'd throw these in:

Was cool, but now we are in our 30's:

Was cool, but now mall cops and bicycle helmet tours:

Was cool, but somebody added handlebars:

Was cool in theory, but they actually suck:

Totally cool, and totally ridiculous at the same time (I want one):

Prowler is still cool. I would definitely drive one.

H2 was never cool in my opinion.

I've never really thought any of these were that cool but going on the pop culture opinion that we seem to be using the Chrysler crossfire might fit too... along with all the "cab forward" Chrysler/dodge/eagle cars

i feel like mopar seems to be the trend setter of trends that eventually fail....

Next will be the high window sil mobster method of design.

I may be wrong, but is the crossfire the only slow car to ever feature a retractable wing.

The SRT6 model will hit 60 in under 5 seconds, so I'd say you're half right.

(Beetle Turbo has a retractable spoiler so I'd give that car the award).

Not sure what point you're trying to make here, since the two cars had less than a year of overlap.

I thought the PT Cruiser was kinda cool when it first came out (mind you I was 14 at the time). Reminded me of those old "milk trucks" from back in the 40's/50's era:

But then I realized they were only meh.

And I for one like the looks of the mini cooper coupe model. FML.
