Anytime I can duck a left turn by going to a traffic light I do it. I had a friend get killed in high school taking a left 500 feet from a light, she'd still be alive if she'd just went to the light.

The only accident I've ever been in was turning left into a gas station.

In front of me was a curve to the left which had trees growing paralell to the gas station (blind curve).

...and then a U-Haul doing 20 over flew around it and hit my passenger side front (nobody riding with me thank God).
