I have a feeling this will be a season of runs
We'll be 4-0 going into the BYE, then lose 4 straight after. I predict a 10-6 season and a wild card berth
Can't wait for football season, KEEP POUNDING

weeks 6-9 is a fucking gauntlet, wish we had the bye in the middle of that. at least 3 of them are at home. though, maybe we'll finally be able to beat seattle since it's not in charlotte. glad to see the first thanksgiving game on the schedule. 10 wins should be obtainable:

obligatory "no stretch of any schedule of any team is brutal on April 21st"
regardless of that, that 4 week stretch features 3 home games 4/21/2015 10:36:27 PM |

I know the Colts are pretty good, but I'm not that scared of them. Luck and the Colts just rack up wins vs shit teams that make them look better than they really are. That and the Eagles are definitely winnable games, not gimmes by any stretch, but I would think we'll win at least 1 of those 4. 10-6 at worst, 11-5 is my guess 4/22/2015 7:57:32 AM |

Likes: 1. Key home games against some top teams from last year. 2. AFC South isn't a bad draw. 3. Thanksgiving game.
Dislikes: 1. Early BYE week. 2. @Seattle. 3. Playing the Falcons twice in 3 weeks.
Not a bad draw unless several teams get much better. I do expect the Texans, Titans, and Giants to be much better than last season, but could see Philly, Dallas, and Seattle not being as good. 4/22/2015 8:28:45 AM |

^^^yeah i agree. the colts have been good lately - but they're record is a bit inflated playing in the AFC South.
NFC South 3-peat let's go! 4/22/2015 8:34:27 AM |

i don't mind @seattle. in fact, i really like this little cross country rivalry. though we've been on the losing side, the games have all been pretty damn fun. 4/22/2015 9:00:38 AM |

They will drop it to 8 games. And yes they will hype the game up. But he will not be in football shape... basically 2 years without playing... I won't expect much from him this season.

I'd expect the opposite. Body should be in great shape with all the recovery time. Hands and footwork may be a little raw but he will be fresh when everyone else is banged up at year end 4/23/2015 10:07:33 PM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
I think Hardy will be in good shape, but as we've seen in the past, working out and playing football are just different on the body.
How many players held out or missed the preseason/offseason and got early injuries? When is the last time a player missed 1.5 seasons and came in and was effective immediately?
Could see it taking Hardy 4-5 games to get back into the full swing of things. Wonder if he's allowed to practice with the team until his suspension is over or if he can still practice and just not play? 4/24/2015 7:08:02 AM |

It was ruse. The reason why we are playing the cowboys on thanksgiving is cause of the Greg hardy thing. It gives everyone something to talk about. It's convenient that his suspension is over right at the panther game. The NFL be scheming 4/25/2015 1:56:37 PM |

Ugh, the ONE guy I really didn't want us to take.
The best thing they could say is, "he'll be a great special teams player"....great way to spend a 1st round pick. 4/30/2015 10:51:04 PM |

you serious? He looks like he could be a huge safety or a quick OLB. Reminiscent of TD coming out of UGA really.
I think that's a great pick based on talent and potential upside once he grows up. 4/30/2015 10:53:05 PM |

I liked the pick. Panthers met with him and (can't remember the other guy) more than any other potential guys they worked out, so I wasn't too surprised. I'd like to see him at safety. He's a young Thomas Davis with Kam Chancellor potential though. And he could spell J Stew in a pinch haha.

He played 3 different positions in college(RB, OLB, SS), solid at all but didn't excel at any one.
I get that he's suppose to be the heir-apparent to Thomas Davis, but feel like he was a reach in the first-round. Thomas Davis was a consensus 1st round pick the year we took him and we took him to counter Michael Vick. I like his versatility, but if he can't start from day 1, not sure I see him being a first-round pick. Hopefully he proves me wrong and starts at OLB or SS.
This wasn't a shock, he said we were all over him in pre-draft interviews, just really thought he'd be there in the 2nd round. 4/30/2015 11:04:33 PM |

Boston started a FS down the stretch and will likely keep his job. Shaq will have to beat out Klein or Harper, both of which are very do-able. Can't imagine Shaq trying to switch to FS, much more of a hitter than a coverage guy. 4/30/2015 11:12:30 PM |

So. I watched them. They played on Fox multiple times. This guy is a great LB (he's not a safety, he's not a RB. He's a LB) who isn't going to be forced to be a day 1 three down starter. I'm glad the panthers picked for talent over need. Basically, I think it's ridiculous people are hating on him when they've probably never seen him play and are going on what some mock draft/pick analysis says.
That said, I'm sure I'll be eating my words in three years when he's out of the league because he's terrible.5/1/2015 9:52:14 AM |
