Was at Boy Scout camp this week so mainly just hanging at home and enjoying air conditioning again. But thinking about hitting up the fireworks in Kenan this evening as they are the closest and might make for some interesting photos.

Went up to the rooftop, and grilled some steaks, crab legs, grilled veggies, and corn. Ate that with potato salad, and pasta salad.

Watched the National Fireworks on the mall on my rooftop

I don't, but I have a friend whose wife is big into cooking and will take them if I shoot them. He'd bring some to work, so I'd get to eat them too. I've eaten them before: sautéed (excellent and delicious), sushi rolls (OK, but not really my thing), and sashimi (yuck, not my thing at all).

I haven't shot any big enough to bother cooking so far. I've only carried the shooting gear out a few times...I've shot some, but ended up just dumping them afterwards. I only saw one yesterday, and it was big enough to eat, but I rushed the shot and missed.

The reef clean-up efforts are making a noticeable difference, at least at the sites divers frequent more. The really small sites and the really far offshore sites that most of the charter boats don't go to very frequently are overrun with them. People will go out there and see (and sometimes shoot) 100+ of them.
