I'm having an issue where someone is trying to share a folder with my work email address through google drive. When I click on the share link to "Add to my Drive" so that it adds to my person gmail address, it gives me an error that the folder is no longer viewable.
I can open it with the link, but can't add the folder to my drive for collaboration purposes.

All the fucking time. It's super annoying.
The easiest way to do it as a one-off, is to open a different browser (or an incognito or private browsing tab might work) and only sign into only your work gmail account and then copy/paste the link and add it from there.
The more annoying way is to sign out of all your other gmail accounts but the one you want to add the drive document to.
If you only use drive for your work gmail, the best thing to do is make sure you sign into your work gmail account first and then add the others. That way when you go to a google page, your work email will be the default.

I just use Google Drive for some personal spreadsheets. Everything at work is through OneDrive and it's great. Obviously Office 365 cloud >>>> Google Docs. I still use DropBox though for file sync. 10/10/2015 8:10:53 PM |

They automatically increase your limit as you use more and get to certain thresholds. I have about 2.7TB synced so I have 10TB of space allocated to me right now. But if I get up to 5-7TB, I am sure they will double/triple me up again. 10/15/2015 9:06:45 PM |

I mainly use Drive to share spreadsheets and stuff, not for storing larger files. Works fine since it's so easily accessible and everybody has a GMail account. 10/15/2015 10:11:10 PM |
