The comments are equal parts idiotic and still the gaming slang equivalent of what I feel when I watch Bob Ross paint.

It's like he has a perfect painting, then all of a sudden he does something ridiculous like covering 1/3 of his already perfect painting with some blob of random color, but within 2 minutes he's made the painting better than it ever was. Then repeat until he signs his name.

I just love his attitude on art. Have fun, relax, enjoy yourself, and most importantly, use your imagination. Art really is quite entertaining when you let go of all the rules and restrictions and create your own little world of fun. I think that's what he is going for, true creation and inspiration with a touch of technical guidance.

Bob Ross' talent is to paint and teach easy to learn techniques to help people get into painting.

Whether he could compete with the renaissance masters in "talent" I don't know and I don't know if it's actually relevant.
