I am ready to turn the page. Meyers is definitely the future for us at the position. McClendon might get the start early due to seniority, but make no mistake, Meyers is the best QB on the roster and will overtake McClendon next year if that happens.

He will be our Michael Vick, and thus take us from garbage level to a run at the playoff. He's that prolific. Mark it down.

Yea he's got some solid looking tape out there. He really has an Rdubs type vibe, with his ability to keep plays alive before launching an accurate zinger 20 yards out.

I've watched videos of McLendon and Meyers and it doesn't even seem close.

McClendon looks like a pretty solid QB with good touch and good height. Nothing stands out though.

Meyers seems like he could be be a star. His arm strength is off the charts, and he's much much faster than McLendon (Meyers: 4.5 40 time vs McLendon: 5 sec 40 time).

Plus McClendon was putting up mehhh stats against NC teams. Meyers was putting up much better stats against 4A Atlanta schools.

I'll root for either guy we go with, but I was surprised how much I liked this guy after doing some research. He didn't really focus on football until his Junior year.

This kid has some quick mobility which is what I thought Doeren wanted with his system. The few moments I saw of Mcclendon last season were disappointing due to the hype I was hearing about him. I'm for starting Jakobi.

So funny the mixed reviews of our QBs from the Spring game.

One Side: Meyers is clearly more mobile and has a stronger arm. I think we take our bumps with him this season and he'll be our starter the next 4 years.

Other Side: McClendon is clearly more comfortable in the offense and is a more accurate passer. He can make every throw in the offense and the offense had more rhythm with him in the no-huddle. He'll be the guy this year.
