Those 6,000 academy members have oppressed so many black millionaires.

I demand that they:

-End the lifetime membership
-Create an academy that is more diverse,
-Require mandatory diversity training for all members
-Require nomination diversity quotas

We should require a Hispanic American Oscar nominee too since they are sizeable minority too. Then every other year they should require an Indian or Asian nominee to be PC and respect this under represented group as well!

The biggest issue with the Oscar voting is that many of the voters are just old/out of touch and it is a broken system where people can vote or "not vote" for a movie they did not watch. Straight Outta Compton is a great example. Most of the older 60-70s voters probably did not view this movie and so they did not vote for it. The younger voters probably all saw it and ranked it for best picture.

Maybe the Oscars should have a panel of 25 or so diverse people who actually screen every damn film and then narrow it down to a field of ~20 contenders in the major categories (which may be about 40-50 films total). Then they could reasonably expect all the voters to have seen these 40-50 films and maybe films like Straight Outta Compton get the respect they deserve.

I am sure the response next year will be many more black nominees (although many more could mean just 1 given the past two years).
