So I just switched from Comcast to Centurylink and everything seems to be working fine. I'm using their router as it's supposed to have the same chipset/hardware as the Asus 87u so I'm giving it a try instead of the Asus 68u I have.
The one problem I have is I can't access any internal http servers. For example I can't go to 192.168.1.194:8080 or 8081 to access any web servers running on those ports on my server (192.168.1.194) from another computer on the network. I can however go to those ips/ports FROM the server (using 192.168.1.194:8080 or 127.0.0.1:8080).
I also can't remote desktop into 192.168.1.194:5000 (I have a vm running on that port). I CAN remote into 192.168.1.194 directly from another computer on the network. File sharing also works fine as does any other network stuff I've tried.
As a last resort I'll put the Centurylink modem/router into bridge mode and use my router.
Any ideas? 1/29/2016 7:43:47 PM |
